My children are not supposed to reflect me. They are supposed to reflect Jesus. My light is not strong enough, it never will be.
The best part of a good declutter is the amount of time you suddenly realize you have. The biggest benefit is being company ready in about 5 minutes.
We often feel the need to correct childish ideas. We know that bubbles will not fly to heaven, and it takes more than bubbles to make Jesus happy. Or does it?
Others “May”… You May Not…” Why not? Because we follow a different way. One that is marked out by our Savior, showing us how we are to respond.
A clean and organized child’s room doesn’t happen by accident, but we can teach them the skills now to help them become organized adults in the future.
What is important to me is that our home resonates with the love and peace of Jesus, so that all who enter feel loved, welcomed, and at home when visiting.
Adults understand that we can’t throw a tantrums and cry when we are having a bad day. We have learned the fine art of hiding our feelings. Children have not.
God shakes up our lives to push us, grow us, and change us. Sometimes it hurts, is overwhelming, or feels impossible. But God is the ultimate balance Sustainer.
Our daughters need to read about women they can admire and emulate and whose footsteps they can follow in during their own big-time moments.
Satan wants to destroy what is most important to us. He comes subtly… like termites to destroy what we hold most dear… our marriage, family, and lives.
