My children are not supposed to reflect me. They are supposed to reflect Jesus. My light is not strong enough, it never will be.

Christ-Centered Mothering, Purpose-Driven Living
My children are not supposed to reflect me. They are supposed to reflect Jesus. My light is not strong enough, it never will be.
We often feel the need to correct childish ideas. We know that bubbles will not fly to heaven, and it takes more than bubbles to make Jesus happy. Or does it?

God shakes up our lives to push us, grow us, and change us. Sometimes it hurts, is overwhelming, or feels impossible. But God is the ultimate balance Sustainer.
There are moments in our lives that create opportunities for us to grow. Sometimes those moments are beautiful, but they can also be storms that are hard.

We as mothers hope to one day leave a legacy. Because one day our children will grow and will either carry on our legacy or choose a path of their own.
There are times, though, when we need to give our children the space to have a real visit, conversation, encounter with God. It will cause their faith to grow by leaps and bounds.
